Your photos are fine and sharp. Just getting close enough to fill the frame may be the issue. If your phone has a macro option for focussing ie. 'x1'. most do, that's a good option for photographing moths.

The moth here has the same speckled appearance as E. epomadia, but doesn't seem to show the same darker marking pattern of that species or the strongly barred antennae that most other photos of the species show elswhere. A photo taken from side on, if available, would greatly assist in identification.
