Fantastic sighting. They are reputedly around Canberra/Queanbeyan but no sightings in a very long time. Probably impacted by grazing and development. but I hope they are still here somewhere. I'm stoked to see this sighting from the Hunter region.

It'd be hard to say to be honest. However, given the condition of the surrounding area (lots of non-ideal habitat dominated by noxious weeds), I'd say low level immediate population. It feels less likely that they've dispersed across the 100's of meters of noxious weeds.

Thanks Sam I think this is a little further up the slope from where they have previously been recorded. Has it moved in or is it a remnant survivor of a low level immediate population?

2 frogs under same log and I assume that they are the same species. Images 1 + 2 = frog 1; image 3 = frog 2
