Thanks Max that is one of the sites where we hand weeded as part of our experiment "Tackling Cleavers (and other nutrient loving exotics) under Native Cherry trees" which involved hand weeding, a combination of hand weeding and herbicide application, and herbicide application only. All of above treatments where then followed with either direct seeding of local Weeping grass seeds (I would have loved more direct seeding but it is hard to source the seeds and they are expensive) or no direct seeding just monitoring. As you may have noticed there are a number of sites where local native ground cover grew in and there wasn't a need to direct seed weeping grass.

The area associated with this sighting is incongruous with the distribution of X. glauca angustifolia, which occurs much further inland, west over the Dividing Range. This geographic region is however consistent with the almost indistinguishable species, X. australis. The glaucous leaf colour does not correspond with X. media and if this were X. arborea, you would expect to see considerably wider, almost strap-like, leaves than what is seen in this specimen.
